The Government and Tech (GAT) Summit is the biggest gathering of industry regulators and tech innovators across Africa.
The one-day event has been designed to provide a unique opportunity for key players within the African tech ecosystem to engage with government policy decision-makers and regulators on important issues.
As a maiden event, the 2022 GAT Summit is slated to take place in Nigeria’s tech capital, Lagos. With the theme ‘Government, Regulation and the Future of Tech’
Will feature notable players from the tech ecosystem and subject-matter representatives from government and its agencies to discuss major regulatory issues around three sub-sectors of the ecosystem: financial technology (Fintech), Media regulation and technology for governance (Govtech).
Africa’s biggest engagement roundtable for African leaders and innovators.
The summit will host about 20 notable panel session speakers, over 1500 delegates from across Africa, over 200 participating organizations, and over 100 executives of top organizations in one place at the same time.
GAT was borne out of the need to ease the recurring friction between innovators and government, facilitating meaningful and constructive engagement instead. The ultimate goal is to ensure that the people of Africa and indeed the regulators and the regulated, derive the utmost benefits of innovation.
GAT Summit is jointly organized by Technext– one of Africa’s leading tech-driven media platforms and Ripples Nigeria– African multi-award-winning multimedia online news platform.
